Regional Manager - Minnesota

Cami Johnson, one of Hegenes' longest-tenured employees, joined the organization in 2008. After leasing at Parkview for a couple of years, she transitioned to the role of Community Manager at AVID Apartments in Uptown Minneapolis, where she served with distinction for fourteen years.

Known for her patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills, Cami excels in serving both residents and staff, making her an ideal fit for the role of Regional Manager overseeing all Minnesota properties. She embodies our motto, ‘People Serving People,’ by genuinely listening to residents and ensuring their homes and experiences are enhanced every day.

Cami views multifamily real estate as more than just renting apartments—she sees it as an opportunity to build vibrant communities. She believes that we stand out because more than just buildings, Hegenes Properties believes in serving people.

Outside of work, Cami enjoys quality time with her daughters and granddaughter, delving into a good book, watching movies, or catching a football game. The devotion she shows to her family is a testament to the same unwavering commitment she brings to her work.

Zack

Maintenance Supervisor - Minneapolis Metro Locations

When Hegenes expanded to include a Northfield Portfolio, Zack was brought on as a Maintenance Technician. Shortly thereafter, we realized that Zack had a driven, caring and reliable personality that was a perfect fit as a Maintenance Lead.

Zack is proud to help lead such a talented, fun and motivated team that is dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of residents who live at our properties. He serves people because having a positive impact on someone's life reminds you of the value you bring as a person and it gives your life purpose.

Other things that give him purpose are spending time with his wonderful daughter or enjoying the outdoors, where he likes to spend time on the lake in both the summer and, daringly, in the winter. Weather is no excuse for him. In fact, he lives his life by saying, "if you really want to do something, you'll find a way... if you don't, you'll find an excuse."

Steve

Senior Maintenance Supervisor - Minneapolis Metro Locations

Steve joined Hegenes Properties in August of 1998 and is one of our most long term and dedicated employees. His greatest joy comes from helping others out because he loves to see BIG smiles and hear a heartfelt “thank you” for a job well done. He humbly lives out our mission and values of serving people every day.

Steve has always been able to advance in fields related to his expertise and been able to define all aspects of our industry. He is also a member of the United States Coast Guard Reserve, and proud to serve our country.

After work, Steve is social, playful, helpful and a senior savior. His friendly, outgoing personality makes it easy to listen to one of his great jokes, puns, or comebacks.
